Winter 2008-2009 ; What is In and What is Out?

Ladies, it is my greatest pleasure to start this blog with one of the most important subjects in fashion: what is currently in and what is out. So clean your closets, start your shopping and please remember that fashion is hit...or miss.

WHAT IS IN THIS SEASON?

This season is a scorcher. It is all about being chic: the lines, the colors, the modesty. However, it is being chic with a grunge twist. Add layers, add studs, add jewelry, add size...just keep adding.

Don't forget the black lace and the trendy Tudor style. In other words?





Colors: navy, aubergine, wine, black (especially at a base).

The high-waisted be it skirts or pants or even leggings.

Those fantastic tassels: from your purse to your shoes to your moccasins.

Shiny leggings, whether they have that extra shine or are leather.

Headbands with flowers, bows and patterns.

WHAT IS OUT THIS SEASON?

Colors: that faded gray, gold.

The low-waisted...we don't want to see your underwear anymore, darling.

Regular leggings. Please, play them up. We're past the regular legging-tshirt phase.

Those huge hippie-style headbands.

Real fur vests and coats: murder is never in style.

Low-waisted belts

Skin-tight dresses that leave nothing to imagination.

Jean jackets (trailer trash much?)

Wedges, those are for the thirteen and under, thank you very much.

Hoods, we're not in the Bronx, ladies...
